Today the staff at JSO celebrates our second anniversary on the web! We'd like to thank all of our visitors and contributors of our site. Without your continued support, JSO would not be what it is today! Throughout the next year we hope to continue to be your source for up to date news on what's going in Jim's career. A special thanks goes out to Jim for supporting and promoting this website's existance because without him, we wouldn't be here!

There has been some issues with the videos lately and due to the shutdown of Brightcove's free accounts we have begun the move of our videos over to YouTube. Nearly all of them should be up and working fine in the next few days. In the meantime we have a brand new addition to the video page from the 1996 Tony AWards where Jim and the cast of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum performed in the opening number of the show along with Bernadette Peters and Liza Minelli! You can view the video in our Video Gallery!

As our loyal visitors may remember last Christmas JSO held a fundraiser for a unique Christmas gift for Jim. All the money we collected was donated to BC/EFA in Jim's name and a Christmas card, informing him of this honor, was to be given to him around Christmas time. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond either parties' control, we were never able to give it to him during the holidays. However this past weekend at The Producers the staff of JSO was finally able to give him the card.
JSO raised a totaly of $300 for the organization and Jim was in absolutely shock and awe at the gesture! In order for him to show his appreciation we give you a short JSO exclusive video for all those who donated! You can view it now in the Video Gallery!

JULY 22ND
Welcome to the newly redesigned JSO! All the sections should be working properly but as always if you catch a glitch somewhere that may have been missed, please email us! We got a few new features to this new version of JSO:

• JSO now has its own Coppermine Gallery! You can access it from the GALLERY link above.

• We got rid of our Guestbook and now have a chatbox which you can access on the sidebar. It has a real time chat feature, much like an instant messager but it records all messages like a message board. This is kind of a trial test and any abuse of it will result in it being taken away and your ip address being banned. Hopefully we won't have to worry about it but we need to take precautions.

• Another new feature on the sidebar is the "Upcoming Events". We always report when Jim is involved in a concert or reading however that information can sometimes get lost in all the news and website updates. So this feature will allow you to see that event information immediately when you access the homepage. This feature will also be used if Jim will be missing a performance in a show due to illness or another commitment.

• We have a new FILM section which is modeled after the current THEATRE section that gives details on shows Jim has been in. The only difference is that this section deals with his film projects. You can access it under the PROJECTS link above in the navigation.

• Lastly we have added a MERCHANDISE page which shows where you can purchase Jim's cast recordings, DVDs and other show memorabilia. You can access the page through the link above in the mavigation.

We hope you enjoy the new layout and the new features!
